I bought my child’s first board book when she was 4 months. I used to read to her quite a lot back then. Then I had my second baby and that habit was lost on us. Neither did I buy much books for my kids due to the cost and availability factor where I live. I so dearly wanted to restart the reading habits in our house again. ( My kids were reading books from Oxford Owl and Bookflix but where is the personal touch in that?) Thats when Sis Jameela updated about this course and I happily signed up for it. The course is short and excellent in teaching new parents about why reading to your kids is important, about how to read books to them (giving in detail even minor points like voice modulation while reading), how to choose books for kids based on their age - infant, toddler or preschooler and how rhyming and repetition helps children to recall and remember what they have read besides also teaching about involving kids while we are reading by way of prompts. The course also gives a good bedtime routine which we can have with our kids which is really helpful to me since I was looking for something of that sort. Also there is a free ebook for the course users. Excellent resource for parents who want to inculcate a habit of reading in their young children

It's said time and again how a child's mind is an imprint of the surroundings he grows into , and alhumdulil Allah this isbexactly what this course tries to make the parents understand. The importance of early reading not only do we find what should be read to children of different age groups we also get an idea how and what should be read at different ages. For me my biggest take away from this course was the night time routine. Being a parental coach myself I can't emphasize enough on what conversation with your child has an impact on their young minds and what better way to interact than a book. Being parents in this pandemic where the lines of office and home have blurred out a well structured night time routine will give your children and you an amazing time to share thoughts for the day. Being muslim mums it becomes really important for us to inculcate the love for reading early on as there are huge distractions in this age. A short course to signify a huge habit that will impact a child's life.

Asalam o alaykum! I just completed this one of a kind, guide book for inculcating the love of reading in our kids. It is contains thoroughly researched, concise guidelines on when, how and what to read to babies to preschoolers till age 5. Children often lose interest in reading because mothers get confused as to which particular books they ought to read aloud with the child. But this book will help all the mothers to redirect their priorities when it comes to instilling the habit of reading in their kids. In sha Allah.
